A Romantic Wedding at WaterColor LakeHouse | Ellery & Ajeet

Some weddings are so full of heart, beauty, and meaning that you can feel the love just by looking at the photos.
Ellery and Ajeet’s wedding at the WaterColor LakeHouse in WaterColor, Florida was exactly that kind of day—timeless, emotional, and effortlessly stunning from beginning to end.

But what makes this wedding even more special for me personally?
I had the incredible honor of helping Ellery design her custom Martina Liana wedding gown when I was working as a bridal stylist years ago.
To now feature her gorgeous wedding here on my blog is such a full-circle moment, and I couldn’t be more excited to share it with you!

The Setting: WaterColor LakeHouse Magic

Nestled between lush greenery and one of 30A’s rare coastal dune lakes, the WaterColor LakeHouse served as the perfect backdrop for Ellery and Ajeet’s big day.
Golden hour flooded the boardwalk with soft, dreamy light as Ellery walked toward Ajeet, wearing the custom gown we once dreamed up together—featuring delicate floral motifs, a flowing train, and a silhouette that was made just for her.

Their ceremony took place outdoors, surrounded by nature, followed by a candlelit reception that felt like stepping into a secret garden.
Suspended floral installations and long tables covered in wild, colorful blooms created a romantic, immersive setting for an unforgettable evening.

The Vibe: Bold Florals + Classic Romance

The reception space inside the LakeHouse was nothing short of magical.
Black candlesticks, lush moss runners, and textured blooms in bold pinks, purples, and reds gave the space a moody, enchanted garden feel—contrasted beautifully against the wood-paneled warmth of the venue.

Every detail reflected Ellery and Ajeet’s personalities: refined, joyful, and full of life.

It’s moments like these that remind me why I love the world of weddings so much—not just for the beauty, but for the relationships, the memories, and the stories that come full circle in the most amazing ways.

Ellery, thank you for trusting me years ago to help bring your bridal vision to life—and for letting me celebrate your incredible day here now.
Your wedding was pure magic, and it’s truly an honor to share it.

Tell us all about your big day!: It was the perfect December day on 30A. We were so lucky to get to celebrate with our close friends and family. We loved working with all of our vendors to put together our perfect wedding consisting of bright colors and lots of florals! We wanted to make it all about the two of us and had our mutual friend Connor (who introduced us) officiate our wedding. We loved all of our little details from our string quartet playing Drake and Coldplay to our live painter painting each guest for them to take with them! We also had a surprise bananas foster station and napkins with our cats. For our exit we rode off in a Moke with cold sparks! We couldn’t have dreamed up a better wedding in 30A!

Details I love? The moss-lined floral runners that flowed effortlessly down each reception table.

Why? Because they feel alive. They bring that raw, organic texture you crave—like the florals are growing straight from the table instead of being placed on it. It’s lush, layered, and grounded… but still wildly romantic.

This kind of styling blurs the line between garden and tablescape. It’s editorial without being overproduced. Whimsical but intentional. And it elevates the entire guest experience with just one unforgettable visual moment.

And of course, it’s no surprise that this magic came from Myrtie Blue, whose floral artistry continues to redefine what coastal weddings can look like. Every petal, candle, and stem had a place—and a purpose.

Pure. Floral. Artistry.
