The brides favorite color: A butter yellow beachside wedding

About the wedding 11-22-25

On Florida’s iconic stretch of 30A, where white architecture meets the Gulf’s soft blue horizon, this Rosemary Beach wedding felt like stepping into a sun-washed European summer. With a ceremony at the Town Hall and an open-air reception at The Western Green, the day unfolded in a palette of buttery yellows, woven rattan textures, and coastal light that seemed to glow from within.

The Ceremony at Rosemary Beach Town Hall

Framed by lush florals in shades of cream, pale peach, and soft lemon, the couple exchanged vows beneath cascading greenery with the Gulf just beyond. The bride wore a modern strapless gown with a clean bodice and flowing skirt, paired with a classic cathedral veil that caught the breeze effortlessly. Her look was timeless yet unfussy—perfectly in step with Rosemary Beach’s understated elegance.

The florals leaned romantic but fresh: ivory roses, buttery ranunculus, and textural greens arranged in woven vessels that subtly nodded to the reception design to come. The overall effect felt intentional and cohesive—proof that even a whisper of yellow can completely transform a neutral setting.

Reception on The Western Green

As the sun dipped lower over Rosemary Beach, guests gathered beneath a sailcloth tent on The Western Green for a reception that felt at once intimate and expansive.

Long tables were dressed in yellow-and-ivory striped linens—a playful yet polished choice that immediately drew the eye. The buttercream hue felt cheerful but refined, balancing beautifully against natural wood chairs and the surrounding greenery.

Rattan was the quiet hero of the design. Woven chargers grounded each place setting, while textured lanterns and wicker accents layered warmth into the tablescape. Paired with pale blue napkins and delicate glassware, the look struck that elusive balance between coastal and classic.

Floral arrangements echoed the ceremony’s palette but leaned slightly more saturated for the evening: creamy roses, soft yellow blooms, and hints of lavender tucked among airy greenery. The mix of structured florals and organic textures created depth without overpowering the space.

A Study in Yellow

What made this wedding feel especially memorable was its confident use of yellow. Rather than treating the color as an accent, the couple embraced it as a design anchor.

The striped linens brought movement. The butter-hued escort tags tied to glass Coca-Cola bottles felt nostalgic and personal. Even the golden light filtering through the tent amplified the palette, casting a honeyed glow over dinner and conversation.

In a setting like Rosemary Beach—where architecture is clean and coastal—the warmth of yellow felt both unexpected and entirely at home.

The Overall Vibe

This wedding was a masterclass in intentional cohesion. From Town Hall to The Western Green, every element felt connected: woven textures, soft citrus tones, and effortless elegance layered together in a way that felt distinctly 30A.

Romantic but not fussy. Playful but not loud. Coastal without cliché.

It was, in every sense, a celebration designed to feel like sunshine.

Details we love

Mexican Coke: One of our favorite details from this Rosemary Beach celebration? The Mexican Coke seating chart. Equal parts nostalgic and effortlessly cool, each glass bottle was finished with a soft butter-yellow escort tag, transforming a classic soda into a styled moment. It felt playful without being kitschy — a subtle nod to warm-weather gatherings and laid-back coastal charm. Set against striped yellow linens and woven textures, the bottles became more than refreshments; they were part of the design story.

What makes this detail especially charming is how personal and unexpected it feels. Guests didn’t just find their table assignment — they picked up a drink, sparked a conversation, and immediately felt the tone of the evening: relaxed, joyful, and sun-drenched. In a wedding filled with thoughtful touches, this was the kind of detail that proves you don’t need extravagance to make an impact — just intention and a little creativity.

Tell us about your big day!:

Courtney: “We celebrated with 115 of our closest friends and family, incorporating details personal to us such as Mexican cokes as our seating chart (pictured in gallery), origami pieces made by hand from my Japanese grandmother to honor my heritage, favorite cigars of passed loved ones, and using butter yellow (my favorite color) as our main color scheme. We also held a welcome party bonfire on the western beach that is pictured in the gallery as well! We really focused on this being a slow, intentional day that left everyone feeling light and loved. My married childhood tae kwon do instructor was our officiant and the other said our blessing before dinner! It was the most joyful day and Sydney and Bella did such an amazing job capturing all the hard work and details that Kristi, her team, and all the other vendors put into our day.”

Fun fact about the couple:

Courtney: “We met at FSU our junior year but Kenneth is originally from Gainesville Florida, grew up 2 blocks from Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, and is still (unfortunately) a gator fan.”
