An all white wedding reception: A modern twist on a classic color

About the wedding 12-13-2025

Set against the iconic architecture of Rosemary Beach, the ceremony on The Western Green embraced a clean, modern aesthetic rooted in simplicity. The design leaned into a restrained palette of crisp whites and deep black accents, allowing the natural beauty of the setting to take center stage. With the lush green lawn beneath and the soft coastal light surrounding the space, the ceremony felt effortlessly elegant without needing excessive décor.

The bride walked down the aisle in a Nicole and Felicia strapless ballgown that perfectly reflected the overall design vision — timeless, polished, and minimal. Her bridesmaids stood beside her in sleek black gowns, creating a striking contrast against the soft white florals they held. The bouquets were intentionally simple, composed of classic white blooms that complemented the refined palette while maintaining a fresh, modern look.

Rather than overwhelming the space with color or elaborate installations, the ceremony design relied on thoughtful restraint. The clean lines of the setting, paired with the monochromatic color story, created a sophisticated atmosphere that felt both contemporary and timeless. It was proof that sometimes the most impactful wedding designs are the ones that let simplicity lead.

The Reception at The Western Green

As the evening transitioned into the reception, the same philosophy of clean, modern design carried seamlessly into the tented celebration. Beneath strands of warm twinkle lights, long tables dressed in soft ivory linens created a serene, elevated tablescape. The neutral palette continued throughout the space, with white florals and glowing candlelight serving as the primary design elements.

Minimal color allowed texture and light to do the work. Glass hurricane candles added height and dimension, while low arrangements of white roses and delicate blooms brought a softness to the table design. Gold chargers subtly introduced warmth without disrupting the understated palette, creating a setting that felt luxurious yet beautifully restrained. Catch the sublte blue hints from the servers aprons to the brides gorgeous Christian Dior shoes. What a fun extra color thoughtfully sprinkled throughout the night

The overall effect was effortlessly refined — a reception that felt polished, airy, and modern. With the glow of candlelight reflecting across the tables and the clean white details echoing the ceremony’s design, the evening unfolded in a space that felt both intimate and sophisticated. The minimal color story allowed the celebration itself — the laughter, dancing, and energy of the night — to become the true focal point.

Details we love

New last name, who dis?

One of the most personal fashion moments of the evening came during the bride’s reception wardrobe change. For the celebration, she slipped into a playful feathered mini dress from Aston Bridal paired with delicate sheer gloves, each embroidered with a subtle but meaningful detail — their initials and wedding date. The custom monogram on the gloves felt like a quiet nod to the moment she officially stepped into her new chapter, blending sentimentality with a modern bridal fashion statement.

The personalization didn’t stop there. Her veil was also embroidered with her new last name, creating a beautifully romantic reveal as it draped softly across her shoulders. These thoughtful details transformed the reception look into something deeply personal — not just a second outfit, but a celebration of identity and the beginning of a new shared name. It’s the kind of detail that feels both intimate and unforgettable, and a perfect reminder that sometimes the smallest touches carry the most meaning.

Tell us about your big day!:

Katie: “The girls started the day with getting ready and breakfast from Gather 30A (their boards/food were beautiful and delicious!) and coffee from Fonville Press. After getting ready we each read our vows in letter form. We did our first look down the road from the Bride’s house. Then went to the St Augustine Green and the Town Hall Pavilion for pictures. We were running 30 minutes late but finally got to the Western Green for the ceremony. Everyone got in line and the ceremony started. After the ceremony we stopped by cocktail hour snacking on crab cakes, truffle fries, oysters, meats, and cheeses. Then the wedding party went down to the beach for more photos. We got back to do the first dance, parent dances, and to eat! We are both huge foodies so we wanted to have delusions food! We had salmon, rice, bok choy, and beef tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Finally for dessert: hot chocolate, coffee, tiramisu, key lime pie tarts, creme brulee, and cake! Townsend and Sweet Henrietta’s did phenomenal. The food was delicious! The bride changed into a shorter dress and it was time to dance! The Block Party brought the energy and got everyone dancing!! The whole day was magical and everything I dreamed of! Having everyone we love together and showing them one of our favorite places Rosemary was so special.”
