Happily “ever” after: alys beach turned garden affair
About the wedding 9-20-2025
Set against the iconic white architecture of Alys Beach, this elegant celebration blended timeless coastal style with lush garden-inspired details. The ceremony unfolded beneath towering florals overflowing with orchids, hydrangeas, and sculptural anthuriums, creating a romantic moment that felt both refined and organic. As the bride and groom walked down the aisle together, the soft greens and whites of the florals echoed the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape, turning the ceremony space into an immersive garden setting.
The bride made a striking entrance in a couture gown by Saiid Kobeisy, whose designs are celebrated for their luxurious fabrics, bold silhouettes, and intricate handcrafted details. The gown’s sculptural texture and dramatic off-the-shoulder neckline created a modern yet regal bridal look that perfectly complemented the sophisticated aesthetic of the day. Paired with an artful bouquet of orchids and anthuriums, the look felt effortlessly elevated.
Following the ceremony, guests moved into a beautifully draped reception space where long tables were layered with cascading florals, candlelight, and deep green linens. Cocktail hour featured a coastal-inspired oyster bar served over crushed ice with fresh citrus, a nod to the Gulf’s beloved seafood culture. Nearby, a chic lounge vignette with soft ivory seating and lush floral accents invited guests to relax and take in the evening atmosphere.
From the architectural beauty of Alys Beach to the couture bridal fashion and thoughtfully curated design moments, this wedding captured the essence of a modern 30A celebration—refined, romantic, and effortlessly coastal.
Details we love
The Art of an Uncontained Centerpiece: This breathtaking cascading centerpiece transformed the reception table into a living garden moment. Designed by the incredibly talented team at Florals By The Sea, the arrangement flows effortlessly from the tabletop to the grass below, creating a dramatic yet natural effect that immediately draws the eye. Layers of soft hydrangeas in muted blush and sage tones mingle with classic white roses and sculptural anthuriums, while lush greenery weaves everything together in an organic, almost wild way. Set against rich mossy green linens and surrounded by glowing candlelight and warm brass accents, the design feels elevated yet relaxed—like the florals simply grew there. It’s the kind of statement piece that turns a tablescape into an experience.
Tell us about your big day!:
Kasey: “The wedding weekend kicked off with a welcome Party on Thursday. Guests were invited to bonfires on the beach at Alys and BBQ dinner was served.
The bridal brunch was held at George’s at Alys Beach. The couples dog George is affectionately named after the restaurant.
The party continued Friday night at the Rehearsal dinner. It took place at the Watercolor Boathouse where several speeches were given and guests mingled on the docks of the bay.
On Saturday, It was a beautiful fall day at Central Park in Alys Beach. The Evers welcomed 130 guests of their closest friends and family from all over the world. The event was adorned with green and white flowers throughout the venue. Green is the Bride’s favorite color. The aesthetic was modern, yet timeless. The Mother’s were seated to Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon”. The bride walked down the aisle to León Bridges “Texas Sun”, a nod to her Texas roots. The couple wrote their own vows and the wedding was officiated by the groom’s close friend, Evan Graves. The cocktail ceremony was a stunning spread of seafood and light bites. The bride and groom danced to “Biggest Part of Me”by Ambrosia. As night fell, formal dinner service started. The head table was lush with green hydrangeas and seated with custom napkins that the bride’s friend Lindsey monogrammed for the event. Jazz and Motown was played by the live band while guests dined on filet and fish. Once dinner service was concluded the band moved into their “yacht rock” set which is the groom’s favorite genre of music. The dance floor was alive until the very last minute the venue closed. Guests wore captains hats and aviators to celebrate the yacht rock theme.
At the end of the evening, the couple left the venue to “I should have been a cowboy” by Toby Keith. It is a favorite song of the bride’s who is originally from Dallas, Texas. They left the venue in the “Lil Dove” which was a 1956 white Ford Thunderbird. The couple rode up and down 30a to end their evening before returning home to their daughter and privately celebrating at home with her.”
Fun fact about the couple:
Kasey: “Peter and Kasey have known each other 20 years and grew up family friends. Peter is the Bride’s brother best friend. Alys beach is a special place to both the families as Kasey’s family owned a home on Governor’s Court in Alys beach for a decade. Peter visited that home many times. Peter’s family is a current home owner. Peter and Kasey reconnected in 2020 and the rest is history. They were engaged on Feb 2024 in Brussels, Belgium. The couple welcomed their first child, Vivienne in March 2025.”
